This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you use the Web sites, browser applications, content and services of ORIS Intelligence, orisintel.com and its affiliated properties (“ORIS, ORIS Intel,” “we” or “us”),  why this information is collected, and how we use it to improve your experience.


Information We Collect from Visitors to ORIS Intelligence Sites and Web Applications

You are not required to provide us with your information when you visit our Website. However, when you submit a request to us or activate the use of our application and service, you will be asked to provide us with information about you and your company, such as, your name, email address, company, website and telephone number. We may also ask that you create a user ID and password to access any accounts with us.

In order for us to provide our services to you, we need to collect information about how our users access and use our online services and applications. This includes information such as the Web pages you visit on our site, such other sites when our applications are enabled on your browser and processing data on your behalf for  the services, the ORIS services that you use, and your interaction with our services.  We may also collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information) and IP address.

Your information may be supplemented with additional information from other companies such as publicly available information and other information that we may append or match to your information.

Please Note: For Customers of ORIS Intelligence, our information practices are governed by the ORIS Intelligence Software As a Service Agreement. This privacy policy only governs users who visist the ORIS Intelligence Web site or uses ORIS Intelligence web applications.

If you obtain any applications or browser extensions from a third party (for example, Google Play or the Google Web Store), you are also subject to the terms and privacy policies of those distributors. This policy only describes the information practices of ORIS Intelligence and we have no responsibility for the information practices of any other sites or application distributors.



When you use and access our services, we may place cookie files in your web browser. Cookies are small pieces of text sent by your web browser by a site you visit. A cookie file is stored in your web browser and allows us to recognize you and make your next visit easier and our services more useful to you. We may use cookies to authenticate our users and prevent fraudulent use of accounts You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent; however, you may not be able to use some features of our Websites and services.


How ORIS Intelligence Information Is Used

Your ORIS Intelligence information is used to (a) respond to your inquiries or to provide customer support to you; (b) provide all ORIS Intelligence services to you; (c) enable you to log in and access ORIS Intelligence services; (d) operate and improve the features, programs and products  presented to you by us; (e) to communicate with you; (f) to conduct internal research about your use of our products; and (d) provide you with information about  other products, programs, or services that may be of interest or relevance to you.


We Restrict the Sharing of Data About Our Users with Third Parties

We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information we collect about you, except as described in this Privacy Policy or as we notify you at the time we collect the information.

We employ and contract with service providers – individuals and entities that perform certain tasks on our behalf. We may need to share your information with our service providers in order to provide products or services to you. We request that our service providers use Personal Information or other information we share with them solely for the purpose to assist us.

We may share ORIS Intelligence information with our service providers, affiliates, partners, agents or other parties to provide more robust data for you to use within our tool sets or in order to fulfill a transaction requested by you.

The contents of your online communications, as well as other information about you as a ORIS Intelligence user, may be accessed and disclosed in response: to lawful governmental requests or legal process (for example, a court order, search warrant or subpoena), in other circumstances in which we have a good faith belief that a crime has been or is being committed by a user, that an emergency exists that poses a threat to the safety of you or another person, when necessary either to protect our property, or for us to render the service you have requested.

In the event that our ownership was to change as a result of a merger or acquisition by another company, your ORIS information may be transferred. We will provide you notice prior to any such transfer of your ORIS information.


Browser Extension Services

Our browser extension includes applications that can help us search and find public information on products sold by online retailers, which we store in a secure database and surface to signed-in users via ORIS Intelligence’s PROWL website. In order to use  the browser extension, users must  sign into PROWL.

When a signed-in user uses the extension service, we give the option for the user to collect, process and store information from the websites they visit within the ORIS framework, such as page url, product pricing, product quantities and availability. We do not share information about a user’s research activity with any third party unless required by law.

Users of our browser extension may deactivate our browser extension feature at anytime by removing it from the extension settings in their browser.


Aggregate Information

We may use certain usage data in aggregate form that does not identify any user or the user’s company. We combine this usage data as a statistical measure to help us improve our services to all users, such as by improving our research capabilities, databases, and determining peak demand loads.



We endeavor to protect our user and customer information. We use hosting services that meet industry IT security standards (such as SSAE 16, ISO 27001, etc.). We further require credentials such as a user identification (e.g., email address) and password to limit access to registered customer accounts. You need to help prevent unauthorized access to your information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing our services and applications. All communications via our browser extensions and applications are sent over a secure SSL/TLS connection. Please keep in mind that while we have established safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access to or misuse of our account information, we cannot guarantee that your personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy (for example, in the event of unauthorized acts by third parties that violate applicable law or our policies).


Choices about your Information

You can update your information at any time by send a request to support@orisintel.com. You also can delete your account information by emailing support@orisintel.com. Please note that we will need to verify that you have the authority to delete your information, and activity generated prior to deletion will remain stored by us and may be publicly accessible. This section does not apply to other information collect and process for our customers, in which case such information is governed by the ORIS Intelligence Software As a Service Agreement.



Our services are intended for adults only. We will not knowingly collect and use any information from any minor (that is, any user under 18).
